A passion of mine

I can't say it's a hobby coz I don't do it during my free time and as frequent as I want. I love sewing. I love to create things that I/people around me can use or utilize. It all started when I was 22, during the 2 months semester break, not knowing what to do. So I said to my mum that I want to learn sewing. I was actually impressed with my mum coz she knows how to make baju kurung, curtains and so on. Cool, I thought. After persuading her, my mum then registered me & my sister for a one week sewing class at Kemas with a dirt cheap fee of RM10/person. My sister, of course was forced to join. Hehe.

From the one week class, I successfully made a baju kurung. The kain was perfectly done, but the bottom of the baju was slanting :( but that, had never stop my spirit from wanting to do it more. After I completed the one week class, I said to my mum it would be useless if I learn but I don't practice it. So she bought a Singer sewing machine (the old version manual sewing machine which we need to move the paddle using our feet). But I don't mind, really. I was exciteddd!

So during the 2 months semester break, I had sewn a lot of things including pillow case, caftan, pyjamas pants (for myself, my sisters, & my mum :D), and skirts! Hahahah. During the one week class the instructor only taught me on sewing baju kurung, mind you. I learned on my own, with the advise from my mum, to sew all those that I mentioned. It's not that with one attempt I could come out with a perfect product. Only my mum and my sisters know how many clothes I had wasted when the products didn't turn out ok T.T and I was willing to use my money to spend on buying the clothes. That shows how BIG my interest on sewing :) After that, I continuously sewing upon request or if I wanted to make anything for mysef. My mum did request to me to do pyjamas pants for her and I made 3 pieces for her in a night :)

These are some of the things that I sewn :)

Ok, I know those are simple stuff. But hey, I'm proud :)

Separuh masa

Belajar separuh masa, kalau tanya kat saya penat atau tak, saya jawab tak. Haha. Student part time digalakkan ambil 3 subjek setiap sem, so every week akan ada 3 hari kelas. Kelas start pukul 6.30 petang sampai 9.30 petang, with half an hour break in between.

So takde lah cuti sem panjang-panjang. Paling lama pun 2 minggu, then dah start sem baru. Yuran pula, setiap sem around RM5k. GSM sebenarnya ada full-time student, dan student full-time ambil 4 subjek setiap sem.

Besides, i have nothing to do after work. So, yeah :)

Tapi, tapi, dan tapi, walaupun tak penat, kena pandai atur masa untuk siapkan assignments and study for mid term and exams. Then, you'll be ok :) In anything we do, if we put it as priority, we will definitely sacrifice and go for it, isn't it?
